NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) - The City of Newport News will be closing its offices in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.
The following offices will be closed Thursday, Nov. 22 and Friday, Nov. 23:
- City Hall
- City offices at City Center at Oyster Point
- Newport News Waterworks' customer service offices
- Public Works Operations Center
- Treasurer's office
- Commissioner of the Revenue's office
Public libraries will also be closed Thursday, Nov. 22 and Friday, Nov. 23, but will reopen during normal business hours Saturday, Nov. 24.
Any garbage collections scheduled for Thursday will take place Saturday, Nov. 24. The city's landfill will be closed Thursday, Nov. 22 and Friday, Nov. 23 but will reopen Saturday, Nov. 24.
