NORFOLK, Va. (AP) - About 150 senior NATO officials are meeting in Norfolk to help determine how the alliance will meet future challenges.
The biennial seminar is called Allied Reach 2013. It is hosted by NATO's Allied Command Transformation, which has its headquarters in Norfolk.
Those attending include NATO military and civilian leaders.
The seminar started on Tuesday and will run through Thursday. A report on what the seminar attendees determine is expected to be made public later this summer.
Among the challenges attendees are focusing on is how the alliance can best operate in a time of shrinking budgets among its 28 member nations.
