VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Firefighters in Virginia Beach battled a fire along Good Hope Road Friday morning.
Amy Valdez with the Virginia Beach Fire Department said fire crews were called to the 3500 block of Good Hope Road for a residential structure fire. That's in the Pecan Gardens neighborhood.
The fire was knocked down as of 10:30 a.m.
Valdez said the fire was contained to the living room of the single family home. No one was home when the fire broke out, but two cats were rescued.
Investigators have ruled the fire accidental, but have not released the cause.
