VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Virginia Beach police are investigating a fatal accident that happened in the Lynnhaven area Saturday night.
A single vehicle crashed near the intersection of Ansol Lane and Armon Avenue around 5:25 p.m., police said.
The driver and two occupants were traveling west on Ansol Lane, when the driver lost control of the vehicle at a bend in the road, a police spokesperson told WAVY.com. The vehicle went across the road and collided with a tree on the other side of the street.
Medics pronounced one of the occupants dead at the scene and took the two others to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police have not determined a cause.
