SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - One person is dead following a shooting at the Cogic Square Apartments in Suffolk early Saturday morning.
Suffolk police responded to the 1000 block of Cogic Square just after 1 a.m. after residents heard shots in the area.
Officers arrived and found a man shot dead at the scene, according to a police spokeswoman.
Investigators identified the victim as 26-year-old Lloyd Green of Suffolk.
Suffolk Police Investigators have now identified a possible suspect in the shooting. Police secured warrants charging 21-year-old Jeffrey O'Neil Jennings, Jr. with Green's death. Jennings is facing first degree murder charges, in addition to several other charges.
