CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) - Police are looking for three suspects after an attack at a Chesapeake residence. A child was home at the time, but was able to get away.
According to Kelly O’Sullivan with the Chesapeake Police Department, three unknown suspects forced a man into his home when he arrived at the residence. Police said it happened around 12:50 a.m. Thursday in the 1600 block of Orchard Grove Drive.
Once inside, the suspects assaulted the man, according to O’Sullivan. Two other adults in the home awoke during the assault.
O’Sullivan said a 12-year-old child was also in the home, and escaped through a window to a neighbor’s house.
The suspects left the area in an unknown vehicle. Police said they were described as three males wearing dark clothing and masks.
The victim was taken to Chesapeake Regional Medical Center with injuries that were not life-threatening.
The incident remains under investigation.
