ISLE OF WIGHT COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) - Officials have identified a body found inside of a car in Isle of Wight County Monday afternoon as that of a missing man.
According to Tommy Potter with the Isle of Wight County Sheriff's Office, the body was recovered at approximately 1 p.m. in the Camptown area of the county.
Potter said maintenance personnel found the body in the 200 block of Pocahontas Avenue.
Capt. Rick Gaddis with the Isle of Wight County Sheriff's Office said the body is that of Timothy Lawrence, who had been missing since April.
The body was decomposed and an autopsy will determine Lawrence's cause of death. There are no signs of foul play.
