NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) - Three suspects robbed a Newport News deli at gunpoint Monday, and it was all caught on camera.
The robbery occurred around 11 p.m. at the Ivy Avenue Deli located at 958 Ivy Ave., Harold Eley with the Newport News Police Department said. The three suspects were seen on surveillance footage crouching on the floor before jumping up and robbing the store.
One suspect was described as a tall, slim black male with no shirt on and a black shirt covering his face. He was also wearing black pants and was carrying a black, semi-automatic firearm.
Another suspect was described as a tall black male wearing a light hooded sweatshirt with a black shirt on top of it. He climbed over the counter and took money, Eley said.
The third suspect was described as a black female wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and blue shorts. She reportedly took cash from the lottery box.
All three fled the scene with several thousand dollars in cash. No one was hurt.
