SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A man who officers believe was involved in several robberies at grocery stores in Portsmouth and Franklin is also suspected in a robbery at a Suffolk Wal-Mart.
Saturday, a suspect entered the Wal-Mart located on College Drive and approached a register in the Lawn and Garden center. Debbie George with the City of Suffolk said the suspect put a small item on the counter and demanded money.
After obtaining an unknown amount of money from the register, the suspect fled in a maroon Lincoln Town Car.
The suspect is described as a black male in his late 30s to 40s with short hair, facial hair and an earring. He was wearing a white tank top and black shorts at the time of the robbery.
The suspect is also suspected of trying to rob two grocery stores in Franklin and two grocery stores in Portsmouth.
