NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Members of the Salvation Army were in Ocean View Wednesday, servicing those affected by Hurricane Sandy by opening a food cart and distributing cleaning supplies.
"Folks that have come by the mobile kitchen have been appreciative of the service," Matt Pochily with the Salvation Army said. "They appreciate the hot meal and the opportunity for someone to listen to what they've been through. Also, for the supplies, getting the material goods that will help them clean up their homes. The hot meal has been a big help."
Tuesday, the Salvation Army served 200 meals.
