Hurricane Sandy damages Avalon pier

    KILL DEVIL HILLS, N.C. (WAVY) - The Avalon Fishing Pier in Kill Devil Hills, N.C. was damaged during Hurricane Sandy.

    Video of the pier Monday shows structural damage to the pier and missing railings. There are two breaches in the pier.
