Rte. 58 EB reopens

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) - A multiple vehicle accident shut down the eastbound lanes of Route 58 at Interstate 664 south at around 6:30 Monday morning.

All lanes on both Rte. 58 and Interstate 664 are now open, according to a spokesperson with the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).

A truck carrying hydraulic fuel, one of three vehicles involved in the accident, spilled up to 100 gallons of fuel onto the roadway.

Motorists are advised to use caution as crews are still on the scene working to clean up the spill.

Three people were injured in the crash, but all are expected to be okay, according to state police.
