NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - The Norfolk Tides' mascot is making national news, even appearing on ESPN's SportsCenter. Unfortunately, it's because of a spill he took on the baseball field.
Rip Tide was going a bit too fast on his ATV and took a big spill on the 4-wheeler.
It happened Sunday, July 15 at Harbor Park as The Tides took on the Lehigh Valley Ironpigs.
Luckily, Rip Tide was not hurt.
He got up, dusted himself off and got right back on the ATV to finish his ride.
