WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (Wavy.com) - Even thought he's not in New York or Los Angeles, he really can't escape the mania that follows his name. That's right Tim Tebow was in Williamsburg Monday afternoon. The man that so many of you have seen time and time again in orange and blue, looked pretty good today in the William & Mary green out at Zable Stadium.
Afterall, it is the color he'll be wearing next season for the New York Jets. Tebow is just one of three big time athletes helping out at Tribe Head Coach Jimmye Laycocke's All-Pro Camp. The quarterback didn't show up at camp until the afternoon and you could definitely tell. I can assure you these girls all dressed up on the sidelines watching weren't at camp to critique their little brother's game. If you ladies are wondering he is single - he tweeted about it today. But the kids at camp didn't care about that, they were their to catch passes from the man who is certainly a role model.
"I just try to tell them to work toward their goals, and don't have any regrets," said Tebow who gave inspiring speeches to every group on the field. He even took the time to give every kid a high five.
As for Tebow's status as an NFL quarterback. He admitted on Monday he has done some special teams work with the Jets. He also has been working out in L.A. when he can, he seems to keep a pretty busy schedule.
When asked the question, "Where is home?" He didn't have an answer.
"I just want to do the best I can in whatever role I have and I think having a competition at quarterback is healthy," Tebow said when asked about what he will be doing for the Jets.
