NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - The Admirals really did look like the championship team they have been all year long. They dominated the start of first period.  Toronto was chasing.

Forward Richard Panik finally started the scoring off for the Admirals with a little more than five minutes to go in the first period. He skated by everyone up the right side to find the back of the net and take the 1-0 lead.

The Marlies couldn't get a shot on net when they were even strength. They made the most of the power play thought, Trevor Smith went to the box and seconds later the Marlies even the score at 1-1.

In the second period, Alex Picard - let's just call him Mr. Playoff - added to his team's leading point total giving the Admirals the 2-1 lead.  He's been in the right place at the right time during their entire playoff run.

Then in third, his wife sang the Canadian National anthem this weekend.  Brandon Segal goes top shelf.  He's already won a Calder Cup, now he wants to make sure he get's his name on their twice.  Admirals win 4-2 the final and the fans saw a great game tonight at Scope.
