ODU seniors ready for last try

NORFOLK, Va (WAVY) - Quarterback Taylor Heinicke and the Old Dominion University football team were all smiles Monday morning for their team photo. ODU is ranked 8th in the latest Sports Network preseason poll. James Madison and Towson are the only other CAA schools ranked ahead of them.

The most memorable moment at media day for head coach Bobby Wilder was taking the photo with his first class of seniors who have been here since the start, he said.

"That is a picture that will be on my desk as long as I'm here," Wilder said.

There are 16 seniors on this year's squad. Fourteen joined Wilder in the beginning in 2008.

"It really just hit me. I can't believe how much I've grown since I got here," Wilkins said.
