Adrian gets Proclamation from Norfolk

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) - Coach Adrian hosted his 7th annual golf tournament today out at Greenbrier Country Club in Chesapeake. And during the awards ceremony, Norfolk councilman Paul Riddick surprised Adrian with a Proclamation from the city of Norfolk for his dedication and success to the University. Adrian, the MEAC football coach of the year had no idea he was being honored Monday.
"It was really a suprise and I really acppreciate it coming from all the fans and I really thank them for all the support, but its not about me or my wife its about the players and all the young men," said Adrian.
Nearly all of the money raised from coach Adrian's golf tournament goes to sending his players to summer school.
