NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - It might have been their last home game of the regular season, but Head Coach Bobby Wilder said fans should see more football this season at S.B. Ballard Stadium.
All three teams ahead of the ODU in the FCS polls won on Saturday. North Dakota State University, Montana State University and Sam Houston State University make up top three in the FCS ahead of Old Dominion. Sam Houston State is the only team ahead of ODU with two losses.
"The key was to get this win today. I feel very good that we are going to be home for at least one. There's another game on the horizon at SB Ballard Stadium," said Head Coach Bobby Wilder after Saturday's win over the Tribe.
Bobby Wilder and his team took home the Silver Mace and now their next test is against James Madison University. The Dukes suffered their third loss of the season Saturday to Villanova.
"Going up there in that atmosphere. I feel like it's going to be a crazy ball game," said senior captain Craig Wilkins.
Taylor Heinicke threw four touchdowns and Tyree Lee tallied his third-straight game over 100 yards rushing in Old Dominion's 41-31 come-from-behind victory over William & Mary on Saturday.
"Next week is going to be tough going up there to JMU. We're going to try and have a good week of practice and see where it goes," said Heinicke.
Old Dominion will play James Madison Saturday night on NBC Sports Network at 7p.m.
