Dinner Date with the Admirals

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Tonight's meal was nice and simple considering they're chasing the Calder Cup.

"The guys have really taken it further then we have planned there's been some good meals," said Scott Jackson who is helping Picard cook.

"At first guys were going all out, now it's started to slow down a little bit," said Picard, which is why the guys chose to cook pizza in their small Norfolk apartment.

The meal took a little longer then the two anticipated, it may have been because our cameras were there. Jackson and Picard didn't really have plan, they were just hoping the meal turned out well enough to eat.

"Just put a bit of everything in here and see how it turns out," said Jackson.

"You said right at 7:30? I'll say it's at 6 and we won't eat until about 9:30, because I'm still at the grocery store running around," said forward Eric Neilson, who was giving both of the his teammates a hard time about the wait.

And after all the hard work dinner was served about an hour late.
