Thieves victimize unconscious man on NY sidewalk

PORT CHESTER, N.Y. (AP) — A video shows thieves victimizing a man lying passed out at the edge of a Westchester County lawn.

WABC says the crimes were captured on a security camera at the Port Chester home of Sean McNerney and Elly Trickett.

As the victim sprawled near the sidewalk, a man rooted through his pockets, picked him up and threw off his shoes.

Later, a woman and a man rooted around for his valuables. The woman appeared to steal his belt.

Other people, apparently leaving a nearby bar, stepped around him. It appears nobody tried to help him.

The man eventually woke up. Trickett was startled on Sunday morning to find him staring, dazed, into their screen door. That's when they decided to check the video.
