GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - A suspicious white, powdery substance found inside an envelope at the Grand Rapids Department of Human Services office turned out to be Cream of Wheat, in what authorities believe was an intentional hoax.

The package was found on the second floor of the building. Hazmat teams entered the building to examine the envelope and determined it was the breakfast cereal.

During the incident, no one was let into or out of the building.

Police and other emergency personnel responded.

The investigation into where the envelope came from continues.
