SEATTLE, Wash. (CNN/KOMO) - A Seattle garbage truck driver is being hailed a hero after helping to rescue a baby in a runaway stroller.

Jeff Blackburn was driving his truck Thursday when he saw a woman jogging up a hill with a child in a stroller. When the woman stopped at the top, the stroller got away from her and quickly started rolling downhill.

"Bottom of the hill, is a busy intersection with stop signs, and uh, when I got to the bottom, um, I hit the brake and jumped out of the truck and tried to run over there and grab it," said truck driver Jeff Blackburn.

Blackburn and another woman were able to stop the stroller just after it hit a curb.

He says the little boy was just fine, smiling and seeming to have enjoyed the ride downhill.
