Shipwreck washes ashore in Nags Head

NAGS HEAD, N.C. (WAVY) - A portion of a shipwreck has made its way to shore in Nags Head, though officials have not identified which wreck it belongs to.

According to the Town of Nags Head, the wreck washed ashore at the Bonnett Strett public beach access near mile post 10.5. The Town posted a picture on its Facebook page.

Officials have not determined which shipwreck the discovery belongs to at this time.
