CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - Members of the public are getting a chance to take part in the upcoming Democratic National Convention in Charlotte.
Organizers said Thursday that people can sign up for community credentials on President Barack Obama's campaign website.
The convention is being held in Charlotte from Sept. 4-6. For the first two days, the Time Warner Cable Arena in the city's downtown will be the main venue.
On the last day, Obama and Vice President Joe Biden will make their acceptance speeches at the 74,000-seat outdoor Bank of America stadium where the city's NFL team plays.
