RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - The North Carolina House has more items to check off its to-do list before adjourning for the year like the Senate did in the wee hours of the morning.
The Senate completed its work just after 3:30 a.m. Tuesday after agreeing to compromise legislation with the House, including one provision that extends a tax credit for film production companies through 2014. House members will debate the bill and several others later Tuesday morning before going home.
The two chambers had a marathon legislative session Monday in which they overrode three vetoes of Gov. Beverly Perdue. They included next year's budget, changes to the Racial Justice Act and a measure to authorize fracking.
The fracking override passed because a House member says she accidentally pressed the wrong button to vote.
