Coast Guard searches for missing boater

DARE COUNTY, N.C. (WAVY) - The Coast Guard and Dare County Sheriff’s Office are looking for a missing boater last heard from Jan. 26.
Chief Deputy Steve Hoggard said Jeffrey Paul McCusker, 51, was last spoken to on Jan. 26 and his truck and empty trailer were first seen Jan. 31 at the Wanchese boat ramp.
The Coast Guard initiated a search Wednesday for him.
McCusker is a white male and the boat he is operating is called the Zodiac. Anyone in the Wanchese area or the surrounding waters is asked to be on the lookout.
Anyone with information should call the Coast Guard or Dare 911.
