CAMDEN COUNTY, N.C. (WAVY) - Another deadly accident has rocked the close knit community of Camden County only days after two teens were killed in a crash.

Thursday night authorities say a woman was killed in a crash on Highway 343 near Lake Drive and two others were hurt.

"These young ladies were coming from the first young man's funeral," A relative of one of the survivors, Janice Owens told WAVY.com "They were coming from there. For them to get hit they weren't just hit by one car they were sideswiped by two cars."

Denzel Najee Hicks, 18, and Jeremy Kindall McPherson, 16 died in a crash on U.S. Route 158 near Country Club Road Saturday night.

Owens wants the county to install street lights along the farming community's narrow, winding and curvy roads.

"These highways are just too dark. If you know you have curves coming up in areas where you have two to four lanes, its nice you've increased those areas to four lanes, but put some street lights out here."

She continues to hope her loved one will be okay.
