DURHAM, N.C. (WAVY) - An Amber Alert for a two-year-old North Carolina boy was canceled when the child was found safe Monday evening after a nearly seven-hour search, according to WRAL.
Kameron Jakise Hemby was last seen Monday wearing a blue and red long-sleeved Superman shirt, blue and red Elmo pajama pants and orange T-Rex dinosaur shoes.
The child was last seen around 2 p.m. Monday in the 2500 block of South Roxboro Street in Durham. Police say the child was not familiar with his surroundings.
According to WRAL , the child's mother was talking to someone for a few minutes when she couldn't find Hemby. She reportedly searched for Hemby for about 15 minutes before contacting police.
