ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. (AP) - Republican Pat McCrory and Democrat Walter Dalton have agreed to a third televised debate this fall in their race for North Carolina governor.
North Carolina Wesleyan College, the Rocky Mount Chamber of Commerce and WRAL-TV are assembling a statewide television debate with Dalton and McCrory at 7 p.m. Oct. 24 on the college campus in Rocky Mount.
The North Carolina Association of Broadcasters announced last week the pair of candidates would participate in two TV debates on Oct. 3 and Oct. 16. Those debates will be held at the University of North Carolina Television studios in Research Triangle Park.
Libertarian candidate for governor Barbara Howe isn't participating in the three debates. She says she should be included.
McCrory and Dalton debated in Wilmington in June.
