VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - A leak in a water main shut down traffic along a busy road in Virginia Beach Sunday.
The leak occurred in a 12-inch water main on Princess Anne road between Lord Dunmore Drive and Witchduck Road just before noon, according to Water Distribution Specialist David West with the City of Virginia Beach.
As a result of the leak, crews closed the eastbound lanes of Princess Anne Road. Motorists were asked to avoid the area and expect delays if they needed to be on Princess Anne Road.
