VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Virginia Beach Police are investigating a shooting near Lynnhaven Mall.

According to MPO Grazia Moyers, police dispatchers received a call at 1:40 p.m. that a person walking from the mall had been shot near the Valero gas station at 801 South Lynnhaven Road.

Moyers said the victim did not call police. Officers were dispatched to the 800 block of South Clubhouse Road, where they located the victim, who was then transported to a local hospital.

Injuries are reportedly not life threatening.
