VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Two 11-year-old girls reported as missing or runaway Friday afternoon by their parents were found safe Saturday morning.
According to Sgt. Margie Hobbs with the Virginia Beach Police Department, the pair were found safe early Saturday morning and returned to their parents.
Jaeniah Eggleston and Machaela Hardie were seen getting off a school bus in the 800 block of Newtown Road near Betty F. Williams Elementary School Friday at approximately 4 p.m. Their parents reported them missing Firday evening after they did not return home on time.
There appeared to be no foul play, but police were worried about the girls because of the cold temperatures Friday night and their age.
