VIRINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Police say a teen bicyclist is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle in Virginia Beach Monday afternoon.
Grazia Moyers with the Virginia Beach Police Department says the incident occurred shortly before 3 p.m. Aug. 6 in the 500 block of General Booth Boulevard.
Moyers says the bicyclist and the vehicle were traveling southbound near the intersection of Harbour Point after the Rudee Bridge.
Moyers says it appears as though the victim rode directly in front of the vehicle and was struck, thrown from his bicycle and went airborne. Moyers says the bicyclist sustained head injuries and is listed in critical condition with non-life threatening injuries.
