One injured in Virginia Beach fire

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - One person was transported to a local hospital with injuries sustained from a late evening fire Friday evening in Virginia Beach.

According to Ken Kravitz with the Virginia Beach Fire Department, crews responded to the 4300 block of Sugarleaf Court for a house fire just after 10 p.m.

Kravitz said upon arrival, crews forced entry into the home and removed one female victim from the home who was then taken to a hospital.
