VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - A 20-year-old man was killed in the early hours of Sunday morning when his SUV crashed into a parked pick-up truck on Princess Anne Road.
Grant Forbes was driving a 1998 Toyota SUV northbound in the 1600 block of Princess Anne Road when he veered left into the southbound lanes and struck brick columns in a driveway. Forbes then continued down Princess Anne Road until he struck a parked Ford F-150 pick up, which caused it to flip and eventually came to rest on the SUV's hood with a power line on top, according to Virginia Beach police.
Forbes later died as a result of the crash.
Police say that Forbes was not wearing a seatbelt and that speed was a factor in the crash.
Virginia Beach Police Department's Fatal Crash Team is investigating the accident.
