Lightning strike sparks house fire

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - A lightning strike struck a Virginia Beach home and sparked a small fire, contained within ten minutes Friday evening.

According to the Virginia Beach Fire Department, a home in the 2200 block of Royal Haven Crest maintained minor to moderate damage in the attic with minor smoke damage throughout.

Units arrived to the home shortly after 8 p.m.
