VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Officials say an emu followed a jogger into a Virginia Beach neighborhood Thursday and was quickly returned to its owners farm.
The emu was loose in the Highgate Green neighborhood near Seaboard Road and Princess Anne Road.
Officials say many residents called the City of Virginia Beach during the incident. Two animal control officers were sent to the scene and the emu's owner showed up to take it back to his farm.
No charges have been filed.
