VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Minnesota congresswoman and former presidential candidate Michele Bachmann will serve as Regent University’s Commencement speaker on Saturday.
Bachmann, who was the first Republican woman elected to represent Minnesota’s Sixth Congressional District, will speak at the event to honor 1,228 graduates. The event starts at 9:30 a.m. on the Liberty Plaza.
Interstate 64 at the Indian River Road exit will be backed up in both directions during the event and secondary roads adjacent to campus will be congested.
