Va. Zoo hiring seasonal, part time work

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Do you enjoy working with the public or have a flare for sales? If so, you may want to attend an upcoming job fair at the Virginia Zoo . The job fair is being held this weekend on Saturday, February 6.

The zoo is seeking applicants 16 and over for seasonal and part-time positions in retail, food service and membership sales.

The job fair will be held at Virginia Zoo in the education classroom located to the right of the front entrance.

Tens of thousands visit the Zoo each work during the busy season. The zoo is looking for friendly, energetic people to help in the areas listed above.

Applications will be distributed at the Job Fair. Candidates interested in membership sales are encouraged to bring their resume. Some positions will begin immediately. Others will start on a staggered schedule as needed.

Successful candidates will be required to submit to a background check.

The Virginia Zoo is open daily from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. and is located at 3500 Granby Street in Norfolk.
