NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - U.S. marshals in New York City arrested a suspect Friday wanted for the robbery of a Norfolk bank.

Norfolk Police Department spokeswoman Karen Parker-Chesson said marshals arrested David Grandy, 38, in Queens. Grandy allegedly robbed the Old Point National Bank in the 1800 block of Granby Street on Sept. 14 then fled to New York.

The Norfolk fugitive squad tracked Grandy to New York where marshals and officers from the New York City Police Department placed him in custody, she said.

Members of the Norfolk fugitive squad extradited Grandy back to Norfolk to face charges.
