One in custody after Beach shooting
One victim still critical, but stable

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Medics took two people to the hospital Saturday night after they were shot during a fight in the Birchwood Gardens neighborhood.
Virginia Beach police spokesman Brian Ricardo said officers responded to a fight call at a party in the 300 block of Birchwood Drive at 10:26 p.m.
Officers arrived on the scene and found a man who had been shot in the chest and a woman who was shot in the leg. Medics took both victims to Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital.
The man is in critical condition. The woman was treated and released.
Grazia Moyers with Virginia Beach Police says one of the victims was at a wedding ceremony with her family at The Royal Courtyard when the fight broke out and shots were fired.
Police arrested a 35-year-old Jermaine Taron Belvin in connection with the shooting and charged him with malicious wounding and use of a firearm in commission of a felony. Belvin is being held at the Virginia Beach Correctional Center without bond.
