VDOT closes off-ramp for maintenance

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - The Virginia Department of Transportation is closing the Route 17 north off ramp for emergency maintenance Tuesday night.

The ramp is exit 9A from I-664 north. Crews will perform emergency concrete removal and replacement beginning at 7 p.m.

VDOT says the ramp will re-open for morning rush hour on Friday, Feb 3.

Motorists hoping to use the ramp will be diverted to College Drive or exit 8B. From College Drive, drivers will make a right onto Bridge Road. Bridge Road then becomes Route 17 north.
