SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Suffolk residents reported a blaring train horn throughout the city caused much panic Monday evening.
According to Diana Klink with the City of Suffolk, a stationary, unmanned CSX train had a noise malfunction Monday just before 6 p.m. off Kenyon Road.
Klink said the noise is not a traffic hazard nor is it dangerous. She said the horn could be heard over a large portion of the city.
No definite time has been set as to when CSX officials would be sending a crew to fix the train, although the noise ceased just before 8 p.m.
