SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Two teens and a 20-year-old man were arrested for their involvement in a gang-related attack on June 26.
Diana Klink with the City of Suffolk said three young people taking a shortcut through an apartment complex area were approached by a group of adults, one of whom pulled a gun on them.
Klink said the group of adults told the young people they were in "Crip territory." The victims left the scene, but were chased down by two teens and 20-year-old Vontay Jennings.
One of the assaulted young people had a fractured orbital bone in his face and has gone through surgery.
According to Klink, Jennings was charged with malicious wounding, brandishing a firearm, assault, two counts of gang participation and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
A 16-year-old suspect and a 17-year-old suspect were both charged with malicious wounding, brandishing a firearm, assault and two counts of gang participation.
