SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A Suffolk man is $250,000 richer thanks to the Virginia Lottery.

Shawn Hoadley bought a Red Hot 5's Doubler ticket from the Virginia Lottery for his 20th birthday. The ticket won him the top prize.

“I couldn’t talk,” he told Lottery officials as he claimed his prize. “I about jumped through the ceiling!”

The ticket was bought at Kangaroo Express, located at 819 West Washington Street in Suffolk.

According to lottery officials, only one more $250,000 top prize ticket for Red Hot 5's Doubler remains unclaimed.
