Suffolk animal care facility to open

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A new animal care facility will be opening in Suffolk on Tuesday, and the public is invited to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

According to Diana Klink with the City of Suffolk, the facility features an additional 3,600 square feet of space and new features. It can house 70 cats and 76 dogs. Additionally, it includes three "get acquainted" rooms for prospective animal adopters, as well as an outdoor play area.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 4:30 p.m. Aug. 7 at the Suffolk Animal Care Facility, 124 Forest Glen Dr.
