SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A man was transported to Sentara Norfolk last night after being shot in the left hip, according to police.

Debbie George with Suffolk Police says the shooting happened around 8:30 p.m. in the 100 block of South Sixth Street.

Once on scene, officers said the victim reported he was shot in his left hip by someone unknown to him.

His injury is not believed to be life-threatening.
