SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - VDOT crews will close one lane of Interstate 664 southbound Sunday morning through Monday morning for asphalt overlay.
According to Brooke Grow with the Virginia Department of Transportation, the left lane of 664 south between College Drive and Dock Landing Road will close Sunday, Nov. 11 at 5 a.m. and remain closed through 6 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 12.
Asphalt overlay work requires warmer temperatures which are expected around the area this weekend.
If temperatures remain above 50 degrees, crews will continue work on the mainline and some ramps Monday, Nov. 12 through Thursday, Nov. 15 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
VDOT says they are prepared to monitor traffic during all construction projects.
This second leg of construction will only continue as weather permits, according to Grow.
