SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Suffolk Police arrested a man early Saturday morning in connection with the death of his 2-year-old granddaughter in July 2011.
Destiny Reddick was found unresponsive on July 17, 2011 after ingesting suboxone that had been kept in her grandparent's candy dish, Debbie George with the City of Suffolk said.
Steven Bullock, 51, was arrested around 4 a.m. Saturday after police received a Crime Line tip. Bullock was wanted for felony murder, felony child abuse, possession of a schedule III drug, and conspiracy to possess a schedule III drug.
Police are still searching for Riddick's grandmother, 39-year-old Kimberly Artis, who is also wanted on the same charges.
George said a Suffolk Grand Jury issued indictments for Bullock and Artis last week.
The last known address for Artis was in the 500 block of Jefferson Street in Portsmouth. Anyone with information as to Artis' whereabouts is asked to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
