SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A crash involving a tractor trailer has closed a usually busy portion of Route 58 in Suffolk Friday morning.
According to Diana Klink with the City of Suffolk, the right lane of Route 58 westbound at the Wilroy Road exit is closed.
A 2011 Nissan Rogue struck a tractor trailer, puncturing its fuel tank just before 5 a.m. As a result of the crash, 60 gallons of diesel fuel spilled onto the roadway.
The driver of the Nissan told police she hit a patch of ice and lost control of her vehicle, striking the truck.
No one was injured. It is unknown how long the lane will be closed.
